All the members
would be eligible to join the Course. The
Students who have
cleared their CA. final examination can also join the course. |
A candidate has to
fill up the registration form and send it, along with requisite fee, to:

Course fee is
Rs.25000/- payable in lump-sum by DD/ Cheque
Alongwith the form,
the candidate has to send two passport size photographs and a copy of
membership certificate. |
The duration of the
course will be 300 Hours comprising of:
Self Study- 200
hours
Class room teaching-
50 hours
Case Study in Groups
and project preparation - 50 hours
The candidates
registered for the Course will have to attend the full day classes on
alternate Saturdays/ Sundays. At least 75% attendance is expected from
each participant.
The candidates will
be required to devote time, prepare and submit four case studies given to
them carrying maximum 100 marks. For the purpose, participants will be
grouped (with not more than 5 course participants in one group) for
preparing the case study and project report. They will be expected to
prepare comprehensive project case studies and submit them to our
evaluation team for appropriate marks allocation to be considered as part
of the overall evaluation process.
Participants are
expected to devote atleast 200 hours of self-study for which they are
provided background material along with a book. Also a list of prescribed
books is provided alongwith the prospectus of the course.
Participants who
have successfully completed Course modules are eligible to appear at the
Evaluation Test.
On successful
completion of the Course, a certificate will be awarded to the
participants. |

Evaluation

Eligibility
- A
candidate will
have to
attend a minimum

40 hours of
classes
and complete the
entire E-learning
module, failing
which,
he/ she will not
be
entitled to
appear in
the evaluation.

Number of

– There is
no limit on the

first
appearance in the
exam. For every
successive
appearance, an

Details of Certificate Course on
International Taxation
A. General
The Certificate Course on International
Taxation shall comprise of a course of theoretical/ practical training and
a certificate in the appropriate form shall be granted to those who
qualify for the same, as hereinafter provided.
B. Duration of the Course
200 hours consisting of
Workshop (including case study) 100 hours
Self Study 100 hours
C. Eligibility for Admission
No candidate shall be admitted to the said
course unless he is a member of the ICAI at the time of admission.
D. Names of the cities where the course
is to be conducted
The above-mentioned Certificate Course being
organized by the Committee on International Taxation of ICAI at various
places across the country initially at Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai,
Bangalore, Kanpur, Kolkata and thereafter in other cities.
E. Registration
Registration will be on first come first
serve basis. The registration form along with the requisite fee may be
sent to the Nodal Officer at the mentioned address.
F. Overall scheme
The participants would be required to attend
the workshop on Saturday. They would also be required to devote time for
self study and case study given to them. Participants would be grouped for
preparing case studies. The participants must complete the self study
hours and case study for appearing in the Assessment test.
G. Course fee
Rs. 25000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand
only) inclusive of first assessment fee shall be payable at the time of
Registration. Course fee once paid is nonrefundable under any
circumstances.
H. Evaluation
Participants who successfully complete the
workshop with at least 90% of attendance would be eligible to appear in
the Assessment test.
I. Periodicity of Examinations
Assessment shall be conducted after the
completion of workshop at such date and time as may be decided by the
Committee.
J. Eligibility to qualify
A candidate has to secure 60% marks in
aggregate in the Assessment test.
K. Limit to the number of attempts for
the Assessment test
There will be no limit to the number of
attempts for the assessment test. The participants can re-appear for the
test and the re-appearance fee will be Rs. 1000/-. The participants will
be allowed to re-appear for the test only after six months from the first
attempt.

- Registrations are
done on first cum first served basis. The course fees is Rs.20, 000/-
(Rupees Twenty Thousands only) in lump sum or Rs.5, 500/- per quarter.
Payment can be made online or through Demand Draft or through Cheque
drawn in favor of “The Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India”, payable at New Delhi.
- The first instalment
is payable at the time of Registration and the remaining instalments on
1st July, 1st October, 1st January. Course fee once paid is non-
refundable and it is on no frill basis.
- The course is open
for the members of the Institute and for the students who have cleared
their final examination. The course is presently being run in Mumbai and
New Delhi. This is also proposed to be conducted at Kolkata and Chennai.
